Foundations of Personal Fitness

Class Description: This course meets the requirements for the PE credit that is required in addition to "sports" PE credits by the state of Texas. Students will learn to assess their physical fitness, develop personal fitness goals, evaluate and log different fitness activities, develop and maintain a healthy diet, and manage their weight and stress for a lifetime. The course will be approximately 1/2 fitness activities and 1/2 classroom book work. Weather permitting, we will meet at the park some class days. Students will be required to exercise outside of class. Wear athletic shoes and comfortable, loose-fitting modest clothing.

Cost:  Cost is $35 per month plus $8 materials fee for Personal Daily Log Book
