Class Description: 

The study of Latin will help your student enrich his English vocabulary and understand basic grammar.  The best way to learn another language is to see, hear it, say it, and write it.  These skills are used in the teaching of this course.  Scripture verses will be read throughout the course in Latin enabling the student to gain new insights into the Word of God.  Roman religion and customs will be discussed in light of God’s Word .

Prerequisites: None

Maximum number of students: 10

Homework: Significant

Cost:  $50 per month

Supplies that the students should bring to class: 

The curriculum used will be BJU Press Latin 1, second edition (ISBN 9781-1-59166-796-4).  We will also be using the Bob Jones Student Activities book (catalogue # 117986).
