Deanna Flanagan
Originally from Vermont, I moved to Plano when I got engaged to Matt who also worked for EDS and have been here for 20 years on and off. I have a degree in Management Information Systems from James Madison University in VA and worked as a systems engineer for EDS for almost 8 years prior to having kids. I have homeschooled my kids for 11 years. I attended my first JASON class when my 11th grade son was in 3rd grade and started teaching it 7 years ago at N-tech. I have a true passion for JASON as I believe it brings real science to kids and gets them excited about it by involving them in current scientific explorations. I was a JASON lead trainer for the Monster Storm curriculum and have participated in field training at EDS for several of the curriculum's. I have taken students on field trips to wetlands, bayous and we even took a field trip to Peru when we were studying the rain forest.
I have taught many science classes over the years including Biology, general science, physical science, life science and loads of JASON. I am currently certifying to be a high school science teacher. I have taught JASON Channel Islands, Rain forest, Wetlands, Monster Storms, Mars , Infinite Potential. I look forward to exploring new science with YOU!
