Cindy Hardy graduated from Ozark Christian
College and Missouri
Southern State College having earned degrees in Bible and Elementary
Education. She met Gary, her husband
of 20 years, at OCC. They spent 6
years on the mission field in the U.S.
territory of Guam working with Filipino churches.
Cindy also taught in the Guam Public School System as well as a
private Christian school and volunteered at the
Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Two of her 3 children were born on the island.
In 1996, the family returned to the continental
U.S. where Gary pursued a Master’s
degree. They served at a
Latino/American church on the southeast side of
Chicago
during this time. This is also where
Cindy also began homeschooling her children.
In 2007, Gary was called to be the
Professor of Cross-Cultural Studies at Dallas Christian
College.
Since moving here, they have had the blessings of another child, a
wonderful church family and a God-sent community of homeschoolers.
They have very happily participated in the Enrichment Classes of
Carrollton, where Cindy has taught Hands-On History classes for 6 years, as
well the Homeschool Athletic Association and the Reflections Homeschool
Choir. Cindy also teaches piano and
works part-time at Valley View Christian Church as an administrative
assistant to the music minister. In
her spare time....ha!...she loves to read and scrapbook.
Thank God for summers!
